Visibility Rank Details Dashboard

Your PodSEO Rank

At the top of the page, you'll see your podcast's overall PodSEO rank - a single number showing where you stand among all indexed podcasts. Lower numbers indicate better visibility.

This rank combines multiple visibility signals into one comparable metric, making it easy to track your overall progress over time.

How the Score Works

Your visibility score is calculated from three contributing factors:

Chart Rankings

Points earned from your positions in platform charts across Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Amazon Music, and YouTube Music. Higher chart positions and more chart appearances increase this component.

Editorial Features

Points earned from appearances in platform editorial content - curated lists, featured sections, and promotional placements. Both current features and recent history contribute to this score.

Search Score

Points earned from your organic search visibility - how well your podcast ranks for keywords across platforms. Strong keyword rankings contribute to a higher search score.

Understanding the Visualization

The page shows a flow diagram illustrating how these components combine:

Chart Rankings + Editorial Features + Search Score → Visibility Score → PodSEO Rank

Each component has its own card showing:

  • Current score contribution - How much this factor adds to your total
  • 30-day sparkline - Visual trend of this component over the past month
  • "View All" link - Jump to the detailed page for that component

Score Modifiers

Beyond the three main components, several factors can boost or penalize your score:

  • Content Optimization - How well your metadata is optimized for discovery
  • Episode Recency - Recent publishing activity signals an active podcast
  • Publication Consistency - Regular publishing patterns indicate reliability

Identifying Strengths and Weaknesses

Look at each component to understand where your visibility comes from:

  • Strong chart score, weak search - Your content performs well but may need SEO optimization
  • Strong search, weak editorial - Consider pursuing editorial features more actively
  • Balanced scores - Good overall visibility from multiple sources

Tracking Progress

The 30-day sparklines reveal trends:

  • Rising trends - Your efforts in that area are working
  • Declining trends - May need attention or investigation
  • Stable trends - Consistent performance, consider pushing for growth

Prioritizing Efforts

Use the breakdown to focus your optimization:

  • Biggest gap - The component with the most room for improvement
  • Easiest wins - Areas where small improvements could boost your score
  • Maintaining strengths - Don't neglect what's already working
